What is a Career Funding Request?
Office of the Vice President for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (OVPDEI) has initiated a new initiative that will allow OVPDEI students and scholarship programs the opportunity to request funds for career development support and programming. The purpose of the Career Funding Requests (CFRs) is to provide additional support that will allow students to participate in, as well as program staff to host, career readiness activities. These activities will prepare students’ entry into the workforce and other professional opportunities. Funding support for early career preparation is essential if OVPDEI undergraduate students are to successfully transition into their careers.
If you are an OVPDEI student and would like to request funding support for your career development needs, click on the Student Application button for eligibility details. Program staff representatives who are interested in requesting funding for planning activities in support of students’ career development and preparation should click on the Staff Application button for details pertaining to program eligibility. Overall, this initiative is in line with OVPDEI's goals of providing students with resources vital to their career success by equipping them with professional skills that are attractive to employers.
