Hello soon-to-be FASE protégés! My name is Natalie Cox, but I also go by Nat! I will be a senior for the 2019-2020 academic year. I am currently majoring in Biochemistry on the pre-med track and minoring in Gender Studies. After graduation, I hope to pursue an MD/PhD program to be an OB/GYN and an active researcher in Biochemistry. I grew up in Haubstadt, a small town in Southwest Indiana. I am extremely passionate about equality and female rights/empowerment. Some of my other hobbies and interests include yoga, watching Netflix, eating (of course!), exploring Bloomington, and taking spontaneous road trips. I also work at Bob’s gym, a local workout facility in my hometown, and Albion Fellow’s Bacon Center, a sexual and domestic violence shelter in Evansville! This summer I am spending some time in the Flood lab where I am an undergraduate researcher. I am also going home for a few weeks to work at Bob’s gym and Albion before I leave for France for one month! I was a FASE protégée three years ago, a mentor and FASE Advisory Board (FAB) Secretary two years ago, a Senior Peer Consultant (SPC) and FAB Parliamentarian last year, and I am continuing as an SPC and mentor this year! I aim to be a resource for you in your academic and personal lives. FASE offers many opportunities to better yourself academically, mentally, and emotionally. Together, I believe that we will be more than ready to take on IU! I can’t wait to meet you!
